I've watched just about every zombie movie there is to see, read/in the process of reading the manual to zombie survival, and love zombie games like Dead Rising and Resident Evil. I have not come across a server yet on nwn2 that really catches my interest/eye...and hopefully this one will change my mind about nwn2. I didn't really find anything, but is there already an established idea about the world? Is it one world filled with zombies all over the place and we have to survive? Kind of like Shaun of the Dead nwn2 style ? *gets his baseball bat and camera ready*

We have established a picture of what the world will be like overall, and yes, it is going to be filled with the terrors of the underworld, including, but not limited to zombies. The same surviving horror of Resident Evil and Shaun of the Dead will be what you'll experience, but in a somewhat more relaxed setting. You'll not be forced to run and hide if you want to take that minute off to have an ingame chat with another fellow survivor, yet you won't be able to go AFK in the middle of the street. I've played, and enjoyed some zombie games myself, and just 'survival' games in general. What we're trying to create here is something that has a little bit of it all mixed together. There's roleplaying, strategy, crafting and adventure-game like pieces that make up the puzzle we're hoping to complete. Good seeing you here Frinn. You're as excited about this project as we're.

Yeah, been there and done that. Jaxe being my old handle from the NwN1 ZS days it was better suited to be the login name here on the forums instead of "Vanes".

I have always liked the idea of "we are the only ones left and we must slowly retake the earth from the foul undead". I think it is the part of me that wants to be a paladin in shining armor...
this looks great so far.

I Shalt Smite Thou From The Face Of This Earth, Unholy Scum! I usually play rouges... but I took one of those personality tests and it said paladin. It is the one below. I might take it again and see if it changes. fantasyherald.com/quiz/dand/index.php

I went from a LG Paladin to a Chaotic-Good Half-Orc Barbarian. I don't know how that happened.

Chaotic Neutral Halfling Cleric o.O www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/dnd/20001222bNatural good from that one... Usually it's the aligment that matters most, everything else is just something else... Rogues are good, natural survivors because of they can hide and stuff, what else cand rogue do but "survive"? Paladins are nice, but the way people usually roleplay them... Well it's just funny

The "dumb hero" and "avenging hero" are most often paladins. They get in the way of other characters when they are going after someone who is evil, and they get distracted when any one of their companions are doing something slightly chaotic.
I am not that kind of paladin. At all. Ever. Well, only when it's funny.

So uh....with the new expansion coming out, does that change the idea for the server a bit? Shouldn't I suppose...

What with the new epic levels they're adding ? No, I don't think there's going to be any substantial changes we're going to make as we're trying to keep it nice and simple. Epic levels, would mean we'd have to make all the enemies way too hard to maintain a believable world. I don't believe that would really add to the surviving horror if everyone were fully capable of defending themselves. Besides, what's the use of a torch if you can just cast a Firestorm spell ?

Probably the most problesome would be... "epic levels, dozens of new feats and spells; new races, base classes and prestige classes; new companions; new weapons, armor and crafting options; hordes of new monsters; and enhanced modding tools. "
Races, classes, prcs, might generate problems...
Most of the stuff that will come will probably be for the epic lvls. So no need to get too exited

I have another idea (I am one of those unfortunate people who get ideas all of the time). We could kill off every race except for the humans. Therefore avoiding the problem with new races entirely.

it could be an option... Nice RP view and all that
But don't you think that people will blame us for being racists? o.O
Also, I personally like having multiple races. Just need to balance them I guess...
