We're unfortunately going to be very busy with other things this week but progress will continue immediately afterwards. This doesn't mean we would be hitting the brakes and just twiddling our thumbs for nothing however. Small things such as item descriptions, writing up history and lore for the world and general bugfixes will be enough to keep us tied up to ZS for every inch of spare time we can manage to get.
Just as a taste of what's coming, I decided to give a short list of features that will be included in a few weeks time. Most of these are not major features, but just something to show what direction we're taking with the whole project. We're going to use all the different saving throws, skills and the special 'survival' skills excessively in the realization of many of them.
-Evil symbols to be used to command the undead, to bind them to one's will, concentrating on keeping them under control.
-Some places will be considered to be sanctified, holy or otherwise hold something against undead creatures entering.
-The light of the sun is an undead repellant more or less. The creatures of darkness rarely dwell in day-light conditions, although there are exceptions...dangerous ones.
-Weapons would often be enchanted with the blessings of one's deity, to help defeat evil. This has been the speciality of those proficient in the divine lore. Undead would be quickly brought down by a blessed weapon as it scorched their flesh with an intense heat as such of the sun itself.
-Ritualists were called witches by the common people. They were the masters of the act of summoning forth powers, some beyond comprehension. Without meticulous research and years of practise, a ritualist could easily endanger everyone around them. When asking for a demon to do one's bidding, oftentimes it would cost one's soul to repay the favor once done and the strict no-refund policy was not to be taken lightly.
-Books are a great source of information when it comes to most about anything. In a ravaged, cataclysmic world, it pays back to know what you're going against. Books give special skills and grant experience in many areas.
